‘Kiss the Cow’ fundraiser at Rocky Mount Rotary Funds raised will be going toward the club’s service project at LARC Baseball Field as well as other projects at Franklin County.
Community leaders will literally put their money where their mouths are in the upcoming “Kiss the Cow” fundraiser.
Several local influencers have agreed to individually kiss a cow if they earn the most donation pledges in their name.
Those participants are Commonwealth Attorney A J Dudley, Franklin County Sheriff Bill Overton, Franklin County Public Schools Superintendent Mark Church, Rocky Mount Mayor Steve Angle, Franklin County Supervisor Bob Camicia, Franklin County Administrator Brent Robertson, Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital Administrator Bill Jacobsen, and WFXR News Team Member Kathlynn Stone.
Funds raised will be going toward the Rocky Mount Rotary Club’s (Virginia, US — District 7570) service project at LARC Baseball Field as well as other service projects throughout Franklin County in the upcoming year.
The “Kiss the Cow” event is part of the Rotary Independence Festival on June 30 at 6.30 pm at Franklin County High School.
Farm Credit of the Virginias will be the main sponsor of the fundraiser.
