Troy Rotary recognised for school projects The club and its volunteers have worked with the staff and faculty to provide many of the necessities a child should have to do well in school.
The Troy Rotary club (Ohio, US — District 6670) was recognised recently by the Troy City Schools for its longstanding partnership with Heywood Elementary School.
For several years, Rotary, the Troy Rotary Foundation, and volunteers have worked with the staff and faculty to provide many of the necessities a child should have to do well in school.
From fully stocked backpacks to warm winter wear to reading Dr Seuss books to classes, Troy Rotarians continue to encourage the students at Heywood to do their best each day.
Eric Herman, superintendent of the school district, presented the recognition to the club in May.
Each year, the district thanks select partners from the business and nonprofit communities to express appreciation for their support and advocacy of students in Troy.
