Rotary News is the official regional magazine for India recognised by Rotary International. Published by the Rotary News Trust, based in Chennai, we have a subscription base of 1.5 lakh Rotarians across India. The magazine is published monthly in three languages — English, Hindi (Rotary Samachar) and Tamil (Rotary News Tamil).

Other magazines published online by us include Rotary News Plus (monthly) and Rotaract News(quarterly), which highlights Rotary and Rotaract service welfare projects.
The Trust is managed by a Board of Trustees, comprising current and past Rotary International Directors from India
Rotary News Tamil was introduced, with a subscription base of around 25,000 readers. Rotaract News, a quarterly digital magazine, was launched to highlight Rotaract service projects and events. Rotary News Plus, a monthly online magazine that showcases additional Rotary service projects, was also launched.

Chatrapathy serving as chairperson of the Trust.
RI officially recognised Rotary News and Rotary Samachar as the regional magazines for India. At the time, their combined circulation was 15,000 copies.
The Rotary News Trust was established, and formally took over the magazine from the Manipal Group; PDG Panduranga Setty served as its first secretary.
The Manipal Group acquired the magazine from Hosali, who however continued as editor. PDG Ramesh Pai served as its publisher.
PDG Debu Hosali of Bangalore who was
publishing MysIndia took over its operations.
The first issue of Rotary News was published on
July 15, 1952, from the Hosali Printing Press.
The magazine ceased publication due to
closure of Rotary International’s Middle
Asia office in Bombay.
MacRae emigrated to South Africa; the
magazine continued under new Indian
ownership.
Rtn Alistair MacRae founded The Eastern
Rotary Wheel, published by A MacRae &
Co, Bombay.
