THREE OAKS — On December 27 Rotary Club of Harbor Country in partnership with The Pokagon Fund, Harding’s Three Oaks, The Lions Club, and Driers Meat Market of Three Oaks, filled 29 grocery baskets for families in need.

The club also had donations from Rotary members; Rita Watson made blankets; Darlene Heemstra donated toothpaste; and the club supplied Jackie Chen’s chocolate fudge.
All of this was picked up by the families with children in the River Valley and New Buffalo schools.
Nine Rotary volunteers helped get the food into cars on Dec. 27. Bo of Harding’s Three Oaks assisted in putting the items together.
The Harbor Country Rotary Club and its partners also had provided Thanksgiving food for 28 families from the River Valley and New Buffalo school districts on Nov. 22. Turkey, all the fixings, and more were included.
The Rotary Club of Harbor Country distributes food to families from the two school districts quarterly.
