RIPE Germ visits Kolkata RIPE John Germ endeared the hearts of club members of RC Calcutta Mahanagar, District 3291, as they celebrated their 25th anniversary.
RIPE John Germ and his wife Judy, on a visit to Kolkata, visited the Rabindranath Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Science to take stock of the children who have benefitted under the ‘Healing Little Hearts’ initiative, a flagship project of RC Calcutta Mahanagar, as it celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. He interacted with the patients and presented them with gifts.
Addressing an intercity meet organised by the club, Germ spoke about ‘Rotary Looking Ahead;’ PRID Shekhar Mehta, DG Jhulan Basu, DGE Shyamashree Sen, DGN Brojo Gopal Kundu attended.
It was a special moment for the Rotarians when two of their most important projects — the ‘Bloodline App’ and ‘E-Learning Centres’ were launched, impressing Germ. He also visited the Mahanagar Peace Park to plant saplings, and was inducted an honorary member of RC Calcutta Mahanagar.
