This year’s grant recipients include: A Chance in Life, Angels on Earth, Camelot, Coalition of Concerned Medical Professionals, Diva for a Day, Eden II, Freedom from Fear, Gianna Nicole’s Heart of Hope Foundation, The GRACE Foundation, Mother to Mother and the New York Center for Interpersonal Development.

Also, On Your Mark, the Richmond County Nurses Honor Guard, Seamen’s Society for Children and Families, Seton Foundation for Learning, Snug Harbor Cultural Center and Botanical Garden, and the Staten Island Native Plant Society.

The grants represent the culmination of the club’s year-long fundraising efforts, but they’re only part of the story.

In addition to the awards, the North Shore Rotary Club continues with its commitment to feeding families at Thanksgiving, providing tutoring to children in second and third grades, recognizing graduating high school seniors for their community service through a scholarship program and introducing a new scholarship for those seeking to further their education.

They support local veterans, help families through difficult times and partner with Rotary Clubs around the world to deliver clean, safe water to communities in need.

“We couldn’t do what we do without the incredible generosity of the Staten Island community,” said lub President Dennis Surmanek. “Your support fuels our mission and allows us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our neighbors every single day.”
