Leading up to National Sports Day on August 29, RC Raipur Cosmo Divas, RID 3261, hosted a two-day Rotary Interclub Fellowship Women’s Premier League, bringing together women Rotarians from four clubs — Raipur Queens, Raipur Elegance, Bhilai Pinnacle and the host club.
The cricket league combined competition with camaraderie, as teams displayed determination and sporting spirit on the field. RC Bhilai Pinnacle emerged champions, with RC Raipur Elegance as runners-up.
“Beyond the runs scored, wickets taken or matches won, the league will be remembered for the unfiltered joy it brought to everyone — the batswomen, bowlers, wicketkeepers, fielders and the audience. We celebrated being Rotarians more than ever during these two days,” said Shilpa Chopra, secretary, RC Raipur Cosmo Divas.
The event also brought a new member joining RC Raipur Cosmo Divas soon after the WPL.
