Rotary Nigeria in search of ‘Face of Humanity’ The club is known for its key projects like scholarships to over 10 students in secondary schools and teaching aids to primary schools.
The Rotary Club of Abuja Wuse II (The Mayors), District 9125 Nigeria, has commenced a search for an exceptional personality that will represent the club as the “Face of Humanity”.
As stated by the incoming President of the club, Rtn Prince Igho Sadjere, the “Face of Humanity” personality, which currently enjoys local and international endorsements, would be a brand of the club in the various projects to be executed.
The event for the unveiling of the ‘Face of Humanity’ personality, scheduled for Sunday, August 27, at the Congress Hall of Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja will also host the ‘Empowerment of 200 households’ who will receive start-up grants.
Besides, the conclave will have the Mayors’ Humanitarian Awards 2017, fundraising, investiture of 2017-18 President and Board of Directors, the celebration of the club’s 2nd year anniversary as well as Rotary Projects Exhibition spiced with orchestra, music and comedy.
According Prince IghoSadjere, “The club is more determined to make a huge and lasting difference in our communities and the nation at large in line with the theme of the Rotary Year 2017-2018: Rotary Making A Difference.”
To this end, the Rotary Club of Abuja Wuse II will host her Empowerment and Fundraising Cocktail, with the theme: “Empowering Communities for a Greater Nation”.
Specifically, the club has been able to impact communities through some of its projects which includes provision of full academic scholarships to over 10 students in secondary schools and donations of learning and teaching aids to primary schools pupils and teachers.
Besides, the Rotary club offers help in the payment of hospital bills for the less privileged; donation of safe water facility to a secondary school as well as carrying out community health clinics and campaigns among others.
