Health on Wheels
A mobile diagnostic lab providing free healthcare services was launched for underserved communities in and around Hubballi-Dharwad through a global grant supported by RI districts 3170 and 5230. The van, inaugurated by union minister Pralhad Joshi, is equipped to offer blood and pathology tests, ECG, digital X-rays, and other essential screenings, while also supporting health camps organised by NGOs.

Neonatal ICU on wheels
RC Madras East, RID 3234, in partnership with RC Irvine (USA), donated a ₹72 lakh neonatal ambulance to Kanchi Kamakoti Childs Trust Hospital in Chennai through a global grant. The NICU on wheels is equipped with a transport incubator, neonatal ventilator and advanced life-support systems. The ambulance will enable safe transfer of critically ill and premature newborns requiring specialised care.
Restoring mobility
RC Payyanur, RID 3204, in partnership with the RC Coimbatore Mid Town and RC Bentong, Malaysia, completed its signature project, Walk Again, by providing artificial limbs to 100 beneficiaries across Kerala. The initiative aims to restore mobility, independence and quality of life for people with limb loss.
Subsidised dialysis
RC Kothamangalam, RID 3205, inaugurated a seven-machine dialysis unit at MBMM Hospital through a ₹52 lakh global grant project implemented with partner clubs in Italy and RIDs 3205 and 2050. The new facility will provide free or subsidised dialysis to economically disadvantaged patients while reducing waiting time for treatment.
