RC Pondicherry Marina — 2981

Vocational skills in tailoring and bag-making were imparted to 15 individuals with speech-hearing challenges and physical disabilities. After completion, they were offered regular employment ensuring financial security.


RC Karur Young Gen — 3000

Free library membership was given to 150 students of CSI Girls HS School, Karur, to encourage reading habit among them. The initiative will improve their knowledge and enhance their academic and personal growth, says project chair V Vignesh.


RC Ballarpur — 3030

RO water purifier units were donated to Yashwantrao Chavan Primary School and Saibaba Primary School, both run by the local municipality. The project aims to promote hygiene among students with access to safe drinking water.


RC Ratlam Prime — 3040

Club members took part in the Forest Department’s tree planting campaign in which 50,000 saplings are being planted over 50 hectares. The greening mission will continue till October with the support of Rotarians.


RC Jodhpur Midtown — 3053

Wheelchairs, stretchers and mattresses, and an air conditioner were donated to Mathura Das Mathur Hospital, Jodhpur, to enhance patient comfort, mobility, and overall care at the general ward.


RC Amritsar Civil Lines — 3070

More than 100 Interactors from the Wood Blossom School, Kairon; National Public School, Noshehra Pannu; and Government Girls School, Kairon, created Ecobricks by using plastic waste. In phase-2, a stool prototype was developed. Past secretary Nidhi Sindhwani was the mentor.


RC Baans Bareilly — 3110

Eleven saplings including jamun, amla and amaltas were planted on the premises of ISKCON Temple as part of ‘One tree for mother’ campaign. Rotarians took pledge to protect the fledgling trees.


Rotary E-Club Solapur Elite — 3132

Around 300 students of Hirachand Nemchand College of Commerce attended a RYLA led by Anish Sahasrabuddhe, an IPL cricket umpire. He spoke on leadership traits, teamwork, discipline, communication and decision-making under pressure.


RC Vaibhavwadi — 3170

In a joint project with RC Kharepatan, sewing machines were distributed to 10 women during the visit of DG Arun Bhandare. Bhagirath Gramvikas Pratishthan was the co-partner. Club presidents Sachin Raorane and Dayanand Kokate were present.


RC Mangalore Central — 3181

Fourteen clubs took part in the 20th edition of Rotary Awareness Quiz conducted by PDG Devdas Rai. H M Harish from RC Vijayanagar Mysore won the mobile app-based quiz, while R K Ranjan and Sumith Rao from RC Mangalore City were the second winners.


RC Chikmagalur-Coffee Land — 3182

Umbrellas were distributed to street food vendors, vegetable sellers; face shields were given to 160 conservancy workers; helmets for two-wheeler riders; a water filter unit was installed at a police training centre; and conservancy workers were served meals.


RC Bangalore Brigades — 3192

The Vocational Excellence Award was given to Sagar Kumatagi, a young security officer, and his team for protecting a multistorey building from an armed intruder. He was disarmed after a chase, and identified as part of a drug syndicate.


RC Ammapettai Cauvery — 3203

Around 100 pregnant women are being given supplements and nutrition kits every Tuesday for the last 200 weeks as part of its healthcare programme. Club president J S Vijayaraj is leading the initiative.


RC Chennai East R. A. Puram — 3233

Self-defence training was given to 1,100 girls, aged 10-20 years, from schools and colleges under the guidance of past president P Vasu, a martial arts expert, at special seminars. Different clubs took part in the training programme.
