End Polio Now wins Silver Anvil Award
The End Polio Now campaign of Rotary International has won the Silver Anvil Award of The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) for excellence in Global Communications. RI’s Manager-Corporate Communications Petina-Dixon Jenkins received the prestigious award, referred to as “the Oscars of PR” by General Secretary John Hewko.
PRSA, founded in 1947 and headquartered in New York, is a non-profit association of public relations and communications professionals. The organisation recognises the best PR campaigns with Silver Anvil Awards in various categories.
This year the Awards Ceremony was held on June 9 in New York City. The entries were evaluated based on four components — research, planning, execution and evaluation. The runner-up in this category was Johnson & Johnson. Other winners at the event included Michelin, The Home Depot Foundation, REI, Starbucks and Universal Pictures, to name a few.
